Macworld editors were so impressed with iPhoto '09 that they gave it the “Best of Show” award. This year, Apple released iLife '09, which also includes an updated version of iPhoto. The software is comparable with Google's Picasa, Adobe's Photoshop Album, or Microsoft's Expression Media and Windows Photo Gallery. iPhoto can import, organize, edit, print and share digital photos.
The program is part of the iLife suite of applications and comes bundled with every new Mac.

Talking about the iPhoto 8.0.1 Update on the Support segment of its web site, Apple reveals that the new release should improve overall stability, while addressing minor issues in a number of areas, “including internet connectivity, keyword import, and slideshow export,” reads the documentation. The update is free to download and install on any machine running Mac OS X 10.5.6, the latest version of Leopard available.
